2.How it works with your membership

The More You Charge,
The Same You Pay.

Enjoy unlimited access to Charge Spots across the network.

How it works: Charging at home. How it works: Charging away from home.
  • We'll install a private Charge Spot at your home (it can be in your garage or outdoors). One Charge Spot is included with your membership. Installation fees may apply, but you won't pay for the Charge Spot itself.
  • From empty, our Charge Spots can give you a full charge in about 6-8 hours. So you can plug in at night and wake up to a fully charged battery.
  • You can use the Charge Spot as often as you like. There's no incremental charge.
  • Electricity flowing through the Charge Spot is billed to Better Place. You'll never receive an extra bill from your utility company.
  • Better Place can work with you to deploy a Charge Spot at work, school or wherever you typically park during the day.
  • You'll enjoy unlimited access to any Charge Spot in our network. Just swipe your Better Place membership card to begin charging.
  • We'll provide a charge cable and a carrying case — just keep it in the trunk and use it to plug in your car at home or on the go.
  • Connectors are based on international standards, and they're designed to be forward compatible with other charging networks.

Fixed Cable

Designed specifically for residences, these attractive wall-mounted units are easy to use. Just plug in at night and you'll wake up to a full charge.

Wall Charge Spot,
Fixed Cable (x2)

Great for offices, schools and similar areas, these Charge Spots mount to nearly any wall, have cables permanently attached, and allow two electric cars to charge simultaneously without affecting the charge times.

Wall Charge Spot,
Portable Cables (x2)

These are similar to the Fixed Cable (x2) Wall Charge Spots that allow two drivers to plug in simultaneously. The only difference is that drivers use their own cables to plug in.

Standing Charge Spot

These free-standing units are an ideal option when wall-mounting is not possible — for example, in large open parking lots.
