Karen Alter

Vice President, Marketing

Karen Alter is responsible for all aspects of marketing at a worldwide level for Better Place. She oversees brand strategy and management, market intelligence and research, integrated marketing campaigns and programs, development of new marketing capabilities, product marketing and co-marketing efforts with partners in the Better Place ecosystem. In her role, Alter also works closely with Better Place operating companies at the country or regional level.

Before joining Better Place, she served numerous technology companies as an advisor or director. From 2004 to 2007, she also served as a member of the executive team at Rapt, a pricing and profitability management company. From 1992 to 2000 she held senior management positions at Intel. In her last Intel role as Vice President and Director, Microprocessor Marketing and Business Planning, she oversaw all global supply management, demand forecasting, pricing, revenue and high volume product management for Intel’s core $20+ billion Intel Architecture operation. In prior roles, Alter led Intel’s communications and branding efforts, including launching the Pentium brand. Before joining Intel, she worked for a private holding company in Boston and Lehman Brothers in New York.

Alter has a B.A. in Government and an MBA from Harvard University.
