ABOUT BETTER PLACE
Better Place is the pioneering electric car network operator enabling mass market adoption of electric cars through our innovative network solutions and services. Together with car manufacturers, software developers and utilities around the world, we have developed solutions that service any car with a plug – making electric driving more affordable, convenient and sustainable than today’s petrol-based cars. Drivers of the world’s first electric car with a switchable battery, the Renault Fluence ZE, enjoy the drive-switch-go option which provides a fully loaded battery in just 5 minutes. Founded in Silicon Valley, we have today activities in the Netherlands and China, and own and operate since 2012 two nationwide networks of charge spots and battery switch stations in Denmark and Israel, serving more than 1,500 members who already enjoy driving electric – making their contribution towards a greener future. The World Economic Forum has named Better Place a “Global Growth Company Industry Shaper” for its innovative approach in advancing the global switch to electric cars.
Meet our Solution Group
Co-located in the United States and Israel, the Solution Group dedicated to the conceptualization, development, deployment and testing of all components of the Better Place network. The Solution Group is comprised of Product Management, Operations, Research & Development, Information Systems, Solution Deployment, and the Automotive Alliance Group.
The Solution Group focuses on technology including Charge Spots, Battery Switch Stations, batteries, smart grid management software, interfaces to electric utilities, business intelligence systems, customer lifecycle support, and a host of other systems that collectively make up the Better Place network.
The staff consists of engineers and managers trained at top universities around the world, with collective experience from successful startups to Fortune 500 companies. Representing an incredibly diverse set of personal interests and backgrounds, some of the Solution Group personnel double as medical doctors, rabbis, professional musicians, and published authors.
