Barak Hershkovitz
Chief Technology Officer
Vice President, Product Management
Dr. Barak Hershkovitz serves as chief technology officer for Better Place and oversees product management. As the chief architect of the operating system underpinning the company’s electric vehicle services platform, Hershkovitz is responsible for product definition and design of the user experience underlying the Better Place offering.
Before joining Better Place, Hershkovitz held various positions with software company SAP. He mostly recently served as Vice President of Product Definition for Small Business Solutions, responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle, from product strategy to user interface design and development and all the way to go-to-market execution. Prior to that, he was Director of Product Definition for NetWeaver and Manager of the User Interface Design team. Hershkovitz joined SAP in 2001 after its acquisition of TopTier Software, where he designed the company’s user interface.

Hershkovitz has a Medical Doctor degree from Hadassah Medical School, the Hebrew University, in Jerusalem.
